Hidden on the main road, Queen's Highwy, in James Cistern, this bar and grill is worth the search. It has no sign in front, but if one looks at the pictures of its front on this page, you will find it. It is the first structure on the ocean when entering James Cistern from the south. When you walk in, it appears like a simple bar, and is one of the best, real, local bars. But it also serves excellent Bahamian food, chicken, and fresh seafood.

So don't be fooled by the unpretentious exterior. It is a "must" eat and visit place when visiting Eleuthera. Mr Kelby, the friendly owner, will introduce you to the local crowd, and some of the coldest beer on the island.
